Hospitality

Tools for the front desk, the floor and the kitchen.

We build two things for hospitality: Kessl, an iPad point of sale for restaurants, bars and hotels, and a property management system for independent hotels. Both handle more than one currency and are built for independent venues rather than chains.

Point of sale

Private beta · pilot venues

Kessl

An iPad point of sale for restaurants, bars and hotels, built so each iPad keeps taking orders when the connection drops.

Kessl is an iPad-first point of sale for restaurants, bars, beach clubs and hotels. Waiters take orders at the table, the kitchen and bar see tickets on their own displays, and managers run the shift from a web admin — across one outlet or several. Each iPad is built to keep taking orders when the internet drops and to catch up when it returns.

Built for the floor

Floor plans with live table status, seats and courses, table moves, and a quick-serve screen for bars and counters. Bar, room and house-account tabs for guests who stay a while.

Kitchen and bar displays

Tickets go to kitchen and bar displays with flags and 86’ing, and print straight to receipt and kitchen printers over your local network.

Take payment your way

Cash, card on your own terminal (recorded on the check), gift cards, loyalty points and house accounts. Split equally, by item, by seat or by custom amount, with a tips ledger and manager-PIN refunds and voids.

Run the shift

PIN-first sign-in, a time clock, and per-outlet tills with X, Y and Z reports, so the end of the night is a report, not a reconciliation.

Guests and loyalty

Reservations and a waitlist, online booking and QR ordering for guests, and loyalty tiers with a customer portal.

Many currencies, many outlets

Take cash in more than one currency at rates you set yourself. Run several outlets under one organisation, with permission groups, custom tender types, prices by order type and roll-up reports across venues.

The back office, covered

A web admin for menus, devices, staff and permissions, a setup checklist for new venues, and a warning when an iPad is running an outdated app version.

An optional on-site relay

For venues that want their devices to talk over their own network, an on-site relay is in early access as an add-on.

Kessl is in private beta, running with pilot venues on TestFlight. It isn’t on the App Store yet, and pricing isn’t published — ask us about a pilot. Kitchen displays and a first sign-in need an internet connection. Room charge to a hotel PMS is planned.

Property management

In development · looking for pilot hotels

A hotel PMS, built for independent hotels.

We’re building a cloud property management system for independent hotels, starting in the Caribbean: reservations, rates, guest folios, housekeeping and night audit in one place. It runs today with demo properties, and we’re looking for pilot hotels to try it with.

  • Reservations and a tape chart

Every room and booking on one drag-and-drop chart, with arrivals, in-house guests and departures colour-coded.

  • Rates and availability

Room types, rate plans and restrictions, with availability that can’t be double-booked.

  • Folios and payments

Guest folios you can split, transfer and reverse, in more than one currency, with cashier sessions and deposits recorded against them.

  • Housekeeping

A live room-status board for the front desk, and a phone-friendly web app for the housekeeping team.

  • Night audit and reports

A guided night audit, plus insight reports and scheduled reports for owners and managers.

  • Built for more than one property

Run several properties under one account, with roles, two-factor sign-in and an audit trail.

Where it stands

Running with demo hotels today, with pilot properties joining by invitation, so there’s no public sign-up or pricing yet. It’s designed to take room charges from tills such as Kessl — that connection is planned.
